Monroe Network News, Thursday, Jun 12, 'A' day


Come play a game of chess and challenge your skills.  The Monroe High School Chess Club will hold its last meeting of the year TODAY from 2:00 to about 4:00 PM in room F-327. Even if you do not know the rules of chess – they will teach you!

Key Club is having its end of the year celebration TODAY at 2:15 in the lecture hall. Please make every effort to attend.

All lunch accounts must be paid in full by Friday, June 13th.  Students will not be allowed to charge lunch during the week of June 16th

Underclassmen photos will be taken on Friday, June 13th and on Monday, June 16th during phys-ed classes.  The Make-up day will be Tuesday, June 17th.  All students must have their photos taken for an ID for next school year.

students taking AP Human Geography next school year should attend a meeting on Tuesday, June 17th after school in Room G-247 to receive The summer reading assignment. If you cannot attend please see Ms. Abruzzese in the 2nd Floor teacher's workroom this week.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes will have its end of year party on Tuesday, June 17th at 2:15 in room F-306. Refreshments and snacks will be served.

Project Graduation is a celebration of your graduation of high school. Graduates will cruise around New York ON A LuXURY SHIP, seeing sites LIKE the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, and the New York City skyline. There WILL BE a delicious buffet, music AND TONS OF OTHER ENTERTAINMENT! Permission slips have been mailed home and are also are available on the MTHS website. See Ms. Granett with any questions.

Do you want to become more responsible and improve your interpersonal and leadership skills? Then attend FALCON LEADERSHIP YOUTH, or “FLY” Camp on August 7th and August 8th, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Lunch and transportation will be provided. This is a great opportunity for personal growth and to meet new people. get a Permission slip from Mr. Fields in Phys Ed., Ms. Basile in the media center, the teacher workrooms, or the district website. Forms must be returned by June 20th.
