Monroe Network News, Friday, Dec 20, 'A' day

DECA memberS going to the regional conference must pick up their permission slips today and return them by January 2. That day there will be a mandatory meeting after school in Cafeteria “A” to pick up your event schedules for the regional conference.

If you participated in Challenge Day and did not get a t-shirt, please stop by the guidance office to pick one up.

Italian Honors Society will be selling "Reindeer droppings" For a dollar each instead of candy canes for the Holiday Season in the cafeteria. Please support the club by buying some for your self or as a joke gift.

National Honor Society is hosting 'Hump Day Chipotle' at the East Brunswick Chipotle off Route 18 on Wednesday, January 8th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Buy one entrée and get one free, so bring your friends! Proceeds will benefit “Special Strides”, a local Monroe charity.

SENIOR AWARDS SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS are now available on naviance. AWARDS ARE BROKEN DOWN BY CATEGORY BASED ON THE DONOR’S CRITERIA. Go to THE “COLLEGES” TAB and CLICK ON “SCHOLARSHIPS”. Monroe Network News, Thursday, Dec 19, 'B' day

There will be a mandatory ski club meeting TODAY from 2:10 to 2:30 in room F-315. All members must attend. The first trip is on January 3, 2014.

Key Club is meeting TODAY at 2:15 in the lecture hall to the right of the auditorium.

There will be a mandatory boys lacrosse meeting TODAY at 2:15 in the auditorium. Any boy interested in playing lacrosse this Spring must attend.

The next Gay Straight Alliance meeting will be held TODAY at 2:10 in Room G-206. All are welcome.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes will have its annual Christmas Party TODAY at 2:15 in room F-306. FCA state director Harry Flaherty will be in attendance. Refreshments and desserts will be served.

There will be a Junior Class meeting TODAY at 2:10 in room F-342. The class will discuss prom ideas and fundraising. All Juniors are welcome to attend.

THE ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION CLUB WILL MEET TODAY at 3:00 PM in ROOM F-226.

The Media Center will be closed this afternoon.

Join THE TABLE tennis federation for a rousing round of play on Thursday, December 19 at 2:00 PM in the Commons. The MTHS Table Tennis Federation meets every Thursday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 PM in the Commons. Play ping-pong and listen to the music.

There will be a meeting of the Young Science Achiever's Club TODAY at 2:00 PM in Room f-218. The club will conduct holiday themed science activities. Club members should please bring their candy money.

FCCLA will have a meeting TODAY at 2:00 PM in room F-130. All membership dues must be paid at this time.

the Art Club is Meeting TODAY at 2:10 in H-108

Ex-Animo will be having a meeting TODAY at 2:10 in room F318. The club will discuss an upcoming holiday fundraiser and give out apparel orders. Please make all efforts to attend.

Peace Ambassadors will be meeting TODAY at 2:10 in Room G-206. All are welcome.

Last week hundreds of MTHS students participated Challenge Day. One thing they learned is to love oneself and accept others for who they are. No judgments, no assumptions, no prejudice. Be open today to whoever comes into your life.

and finally, Congratulations to Monroe Falcon Football Players Russell Clayton, Akeer Franklin and David Betancur for being named to the Home News Tribune's All Area 1st Team and the Star Ledger's All County 1st Team. In addition, Russell Clayton, Akeer Franklin, Nick Marinelli, CJ Thompson and Anthony Giudice were nominated to the GMC All Division Team. Russell and Akeer were named to the GMC All Conference Team. Congratulations to all players!
