Monroe Network News, Wed, 12.10.14, 'B' day

The Drama Club will be presenting Cabaret Night on Thursday, December 11th at 7:00 in the commons.  Come on out to hear a concert of great Broadway tunes and holiday classics. Admission is only $5.00.

Literary Magazine Team and Poetry Club will be joining forces this Thursday, December 11th after school in room G-346 to exchange ideas and put them into action. Please see mr. rooney for more information.

French Honors Society will hold its next meeting on Thursday, December 11th from 2:05 to 2:20 PM in Room F-327.  All are welcome.

Chess Club will meet on on Thursday, December 11th, from 2:20 PM to 4:20 PM in Room F-327. All are welcome. If you would like to learn how to play, club members will teach you. Bring a friend and enjoy this ancient "Immortal" game of Kings.

Photography Club is meeting on Thursday, December 11, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM in Room G237.

Congratulations to Mayra Felix, winner of this week’s Photography club photo contest for the theme “RAIN STORM & LIGHTNING”. The next photo CONTEST theme is “Signs”. Photos must be emailed to Ms. Dale by 3:00 pm on Monday, December 15.

The media center will hold another Brown Bag Lunch on Friday, December 19th. The discussion will focus on books and movies in which the author explores our emotional and dependent relationships to some of our evolutionary cousins, and where animals are some of the main characters. If you have read any of these or similar types of books join us for lunch on December 19th. You can Sign-up in the Media Center.

Teens all across NEW JERSEY are invited to vote for their favorite books in the “Garden State Teen Book Awards”. Go to tinyurl.com/bookawards2015 to vote for your favorites in any or all of the three categories. Hard copies of the nominated titles are available for checkout in the Media Center. The Voting Deadline is on December 31 and the winners will be announced in January.
