Monroe Network News, Thursday, Feb 6, 'B' day


Ex-Animo will have a bake sale on Thursday, February 6 immediately after school TODAY in the commons. If you signed up to being in baked goods, please bring them to room F-316 on Thursday morning.

Youth and Government is meeting today after school in room G-306. Students need to bring a rough draft of their bills to the meeting for the delegation to work on bill strengthening.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes will have a meeting today at 2:15 in room F306.  All are welcome.

Girls interested in trying out for the softball team should attend a meeting today at 2:15 in room g-344.

Attention Juniors: There will be a class meeting right after school today in room F-342 right after school. On the agenda are junior prom and fundraising ideas. All juniors are encouraged to attend.

The Sophomore Class will hold a meeting today after school in room G-334. They will discuss the February fundraisers and upcoming activities.

Girls interested in Spring Track must attend a mandatory pre-season meeting today at 2:10 in room F-338. please see Coach Jessop with any questions.

Boys interested in spring track must come to a brief meeting today after school in room F-325. If you cannot attend or have questions you must see Coach Rickert prior to the meeting.

Are you ready to rock? The Battle of the Bands is scheduled for this Friday, February 7. Doors open at 6pm.  Tickets are $7 and will be sold at the door.

Surprise that special someone with a Valentine's Bouquet.  DECA will be taking orders for Valentine's flowers during all lunches this week.  Flowers will be delivered during Block 1 on February 14. All orders must be prepaid.

the school store is now selling drawstring and sports bags. Both bags can be purchased with the option of personalization and your choice of a monroe falcons logo. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

students interested in playing a spring sport MUST see the nurse by February 10th to sign up for a physical or TO get an update.

THE SECOND NEW JERSEY SCIENCE LEAGUE COMPETITION-TEST OF THE YEAR IS SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13th AT 2:15 PM IN ROOM F-327. REGISTRATION FOR THE NEW TEST AND COPIES OF LAST YEAR'S TEST WILL BE AVAILABLE STARTING TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 4th AT 2:05 PM IN ROOM F-327. ALL ARE WELCOME. PLEASE SEE MR. TOLBOOM OR DR. PANGALOS with ANY QUESTIONS.

AN ICE CREAM PARTY!  THE WINNING CLASS WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT THE CULMINATING DANCE-A-THON event ON Friday, February 28.

Congratulations to our Monroe Falcon's Special Olympian bowlers for their performance in the  qualifying rounds of the Special Olympics Bowling competition last Sunday. Gold Medalist Antonio Penaherrera clinched a gold in his division with a 123 average! Uchechi Madu and Sal DiRusso each earned silver medals in their respective divisions. Megan Fannon, Aditya Sen and Jacob Borrero all placed won bronze in their respective divisions with  bronze medals. Look for our Falcons to continue their success as they compete in the next round of the Central NJ sectionals  bowling on March 8th at Strathmore Lanes in Matawan.
