Monroe Network News, Wed 05.27.15, 'A' day


The TED-x Club will be presenting TED Talks TODAY at 6:00 pm in the Performing Arts Center. Light Refreshments will be served, and all are welcome!

Student Council will hold a a brief meeting immediately after school TODAY in room G-347 immediately after school.

girls who signed up to play Powder Puff football need to pick up their jerseys from Ms. Schwartz by THE END OF THE DAY.

ADDITIONAL Cheer physicals will be held ON THURSDAY, May 28 in the nurses’ office.  Competition and Football cheer tryouts will be held in June. Students without current physicals at that time will not be permitted to try out.

Come out and see who will win the Powder Puff Football Game between the Freshmen/Juniors team and the Sophomore/Seniors team. The game is this Thursday, May 28th at 5:30 PM on the Football Field. Admission is $3 at the gate.

There will be a boys basketball meeting on Monday, June 1st right after school in the Main Gym. This meeting is for current players as well as those wishing to play next season. See Coach Puleio if you have any questions.

students signed up to take A-P Human Geography next school year should come to the introductory meeting on Tuesday, June 2nd at 2:10 in Room G-247 to receive their summer assignment.

the JAZZ DANCE TEAM WILL HOLD AUDITIONS FOR next SCHOOL YEAR ON Tuesday, JUNE 2 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM IN THE AUXILIARY GYM.  PHYSICAL AND CONSENT FORMS MUST BE submitted to THE SCHOOL NURSE BEFORE THat DATE.

GIRLS WHO WOULD LIKE TO TRY OUT FOR THE SOCCER TEAM IN THE FALL MUST ATTEND A BRIEF MEETING ON Wednesday, JUNE 3RD AT 2:10 IN THE WRESTLING ROOM.

THE media center requests THAT YOU RETURN AlL library materials including books, dvd’s, and magazines by June 5th. please contact the Media Center staff with any questions.

The Class of 2016 is looking for a senior t-shirt Design.  Please submit designs to Ms. Riggi or Ms. Lyons as a JPEG email attachment by Wednesday, June 10th. Their addresses are Jriggi@monroe.k12.nj.us and Dlyons@monroe.k12.nj.us .  Juniors will vote on the design during lunches on June 11th and 12th for their favorite design.

Students wishing to go on the waiting list for leftover yearbooks must bring cash or a money order in the amount of $115.00 to Mrs. Stasi in the media center.  Your name will then be put on the list.  Seniors will take priority.

Project Graduation is a celebration of your graduation of high school. Graduates will cruise around manhattan on a luxury ship, seeing such sites as the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, and the New York City skyline. There is a delicious buffet, entertainments, a digital photo booth, and a DJ for dancing the night away! Permission slips have been mailed home and are also are available on the MTHS website. See Ms. Granett with any questions.

Do you want to improve you leadership and communication skills, learn about responsibility and meet new people? Then You should attend “FLY”, or “Falcon Leadership Youth” Camp on August 6th and August 7th this summer. Busing and Lunch will be provided. You can print permission slips from the mths website or pick one up from Ms. Basile in the Media Center, or Mr. Lee and Mr. Field in the Phys-Ed. Department. permission slips need to be returned to any of the above people by June 20th.
