Monroe Network News, Monday, 09.21.15, 'B' day


it’s spirit week! you should be wearing your jammys today. don your fine duds On tuesday for “dress to impress” day. wear your favorite sports team’s jersey on thursday, and on friday break out the purple and gold.

model United Nations is meeting on Monday, September the 21st at 2:15 in room g-207.

Do you enjoy being on stage singing and dancing?  Then audition for “SHOW CHOIR”!!  Auditions will be held this Thursday, September 24th at 2:10pm in the Chorus Room.  All students can audition- you don’t have to be currently enrolled in any music class.  Please check the bulletin board outside the Chorus Room for details, and see Ms. Alagna or Ms. Klein in the Chorus Room with any questions.

National honor society will have its first general membership meeting on Thursday, September 24th immediately after school in Cafeteria A. All members must attend.

Italian Honors Society will have its first meeting on Thursday, September 24 after school in room G-336. all members and students interested in joining must attend.

The academic team’S FIRST meeting will be ON Thursday, September 24th at 2:10 in Room G-247. All interested STUDENTS SHOULD attend.

THE Photography Club will hold ITS first meeting on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 AT 2:00 pm in Room G-227. Learn about the Photography club and ITS weekly contests. See Ms. Dale in Room G-227 with any questions.

there will be a wrestling meeting on Thursday, September 24th after school in the wrestling room.  All wrestlers are expected to attend.

Computer Club will have its first meeting on Thursday, September 24th in Room G-136. The meeting will end by 3:00.

The MTHS Mock Trial Team will be having an informational meeting after school on Monday, September 28th in room G-206. The team will discuss the New Jersey Bar Foundation Mock Trial Competition and how to audition. Last year’s team is required to attend and new members are welcome.

all new ice hockey players must attend a meeting after school on Wednesday, September 30th in room G-136. The meeting will last about 45 minutes. If you cannot attend, please see Coach Minter in room G-136.

The College and career counseling center is sponsoring a trip to the Historically Black Colleges and University Fair. It will be held at Raritan Valley Community College on November 19th. The trip is only open to eleventh and twelfth grade students.  Please sign up in the counseling center- space is limited. See Mrs. Rockoff or Mrs. Peterson if you have any questions.

The Challenge Day Program will be held on October 27, 28, 29, in the gymnasium. Students may attend one day from 7:30AM to 2:00PM.  The event will take place at the high school in the gymnasium. Participants must report to the school gymnasium by 7:20AM.  Lunch will be provided on that day. To participate, students must complete a permission slip, which can be downloaded from the CCCC website. Permission slips must be returned to the college and career counseling center by October 15.

ATTENTION SENIORS:  ALL STUDENT VEHICLES MUST HAVE A MONROE TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL TAG HANGING FROM THE REAR-VIEW MIRROR. ALL APPROVED, LICENSED DRIVERS IN GRADE 12 SHOULD SEE MRS. BENEVENTO IN ROOM F-223 TO OBTAIN A PARKING TAG.

AND FINALLY, The Weight Room is now open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2:15 to 3:45.
