Monroe Network News, Monday, 10.05.15, 'A' day


Spanish Honors Society will hold its first meeting today at 2:00 pm.  Current members and new inductees should meet on the steps outside the auditorium. You will then be moving into our assigned lecture hall for the meeting.  The meeting will last for about an hour.  Please make every effort to be there!

The Media Center IS NOW OPEN after school Monday through Thursday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

National Art Honor Society will hold its first meeting after school TODAY in room H-103. It will last until 2:30pm.

Science Honor Society will be holding its first official meeting on tuesday, October 6th at 2:15 PM in the Left Lecture Hall.  This is a mandatory meeting for all members.  Students interested in applying should attend or see advisors Mr. Tolboom or Mrs. Puleio.

It's a White out! Wear white to support the girls soccer team at their match for the red division title on Tuesday, October 6 at 6:00 pm against rival East Brunswick.

The next academic team meeting will be on Tuesday, october 6th after school in Room G-247.the team will sign up for the MAST tournament and practice, as well as collect money for dues and a t-shirt.

Ex-Animo will hold a meeting after school on tuesday, October 6th in room F-318. Ex-Animo will also have a bake sale in the commons after school on thursday, October 8th

The College and Career Counseling Center is sponsoring the 2015 Fall College Fair on October 8th from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the main gymnasium Gym. Over 80 college representatives will be in attendance.

The next DECA meeting is on Thursday, October 8 at 2:00 PM in Cafeteria A. This is the last chance to join DECA. At this mandatory meeting members will get an overview of the January competition and trip, as well as receive event sign up sheets. Members who have not yet paid their dues should make sure to put them in Mrs. Stapenski's mailbox in Room G-214.

Italian Honors society will be meeting on Thursday October 8th after school in room G-336.  All members must attend

the Class of 2016 is selling Senior Apparel. Order forms will be available during all lunches and on the school website under Class of 2016 Information. All Money and forms are due by Friday, October 9th and should be deposited in Ms. Riggi’s or Ms. Lyons’ mailbox in workroom G-314.

Interested in taking a college course in Art, writing, dance, theater, video and more?  There will be a short informational meeting regarding Arts High on Thursday, October 15th directly after school in room G-156.

Attention Seniors: Now is the time to upload your “Friends Forever”, “Remember When”, and “Glow Up” pictures for the yearbook. You should have received a notice in your Language arts classes on how to do this. The submission Deadline is October 16th. Please note that if the yearbook does not receive enough pictures, these pages will be eliminated altogether.

Are you undecided about your future career goals?  then you should consider taking the “ASVAB”, the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery.  “ASVAB” is a comprehensive career exploration and planning program run by the military, however, there is no military obligation. The test will be held on Wednesday, November 18th at 8:00 AM in the Media Center. Sophomores, juniors and seniors can now sign-up in the College and Career Counseling center. The deadline is November 16th. For more information, please see Mrs. Stasi in the Senior Option office located inside the media center.
