MTHS is starting a new intramural Martial Arts Program.  Interested students should attend an organizational meeting on Thursday, March 10th at 2:15 in the Right Lecture Hall. YOU WILL learn about the program and pick up a permission slip.  Sessions will take place every Thursday starting on march 17th and will run through late May or early June.  All students are welcome and will be credited for attending in this after school activity.  Permission slips must be returned before students can participate.

History Club will be meeting on Thursday, March 10th in room G-345.  All members should attend.  Field Trip permission slips and checks are due at the meeting.

THE next SCIENCE LEAGUE TEST IS SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, MARCH 10th. PLEASE SEE DR. PANGALOS ANY TIME AFTER SCHOOL, IN ROOM F327 TO REGISTER IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME TAKING THE TEST.  PREVIOUS PARTICIPANTS ARE ALREADY REGISTERED. ALL ARE WELCOME.

Come see who will be crowned the next Mr. Monroe this Friday, March 11th at 7:00 pm in the PAC. Admission is $5.00. Refreshments and snacks will be for sale.

Congratulations to deeksha reddy, winner of this week’s Photography club photo contest for the theme “illusion”. the next contest theme is “lights and lighting”. please email your pictures to ms. dale by 3:00 PM on monday, march 14th. ms. dale will confirm receipt of your email, so if you don’t get a reply, she did not get it! The next photo club meeting will be on tuesday, march 22nd right after school in room g-227.

ATTENTION SENIORS- TIME IS RUNNING OUT!  Submit your Senior Award Applications to the college and career counseling center before 2:00 PM on Monday, March 14.  To see which awards are available, go to Naviance, click the “colleges” tab, and then the “scholarships” link. If you have any questions, please See your Guidance Counselor.

Project FUN will be meeting next Tuesday, March 15th at 2:10 in the choir room. Members are reminded to submit their popcorn money to Ms. Dillon as soon as possible. If you did not get your 10 bags, please pick them up in the Phys. Ed office.

The deadline to turn in the DECA Krispy Kreme fundraiser is now Tuesday, March 15.  Please see Mrs. Stapenski if you have not received a form.  Next DECA meeting will be after school on Tuesday, March 15.

History Club is sponsoring an afternoon movie on Tuesday, March 15th at 2:05 pm in room G-345.  They will be screening “Forrest Gump”, a film that chronicles many important events in 20th century American history.  Snacks and drinks will be provided. The screening will end in time for students to make the 4:15 late bus.

FBLA will be holding ANOTHER Karaoke night on FRIDAY March 18, 2016, from 5:00pm to 10:00pm in the commons! All students are encouraged  and welcome to attend. Admission is $5 in advance, or  $7 at the door. There also is a news PIZZA option: Pay $8 in advance to receive one slice of pizza and a beverage. Additional slices will cost $2.00 and beverages $1.00 each. All attendees, even FBLA members, must pay admission. Tickets are being sold during all lunches and by Ms. Dale in Room G227. Tickets are required at entry and to receive your PIZZA!

Yearbooks can be ordered online at www.jostens.com until May 1 at a cost of $110.  After May 1, you will go on a waiting list for leftover books at a cost of $120.  The waiting list is first come, first served- no exceptions. If you ordered your yearbook, or are not sure if you did, you should check the list outside room C-149 near the commons for your name.
