Monroe Network News, Thursday, Dec 12, 'A' day


Students originally scheduled to take their DECA test on Tuesday must do so today during their assigned blocks.  See Mrs. Stapenski in the media center with any questions.

The MTHS Table Tennis Federation will meet today at 2:00 PM in the Commons.  Come and play ping-pong from 2 to 4 PM.

Robotics and Tech Club will be meeting today from 2:00 to 4:00 in room H-124 with Mr. Snow. This will be the last meeting of 2013 and there will be Candy and snacks!

There will be a multicultural club meeting today at 2:05 in cafeteria B.

the Academic Team will have a brief meeting today at 2:10 in Room G247. The club will select teams for the High Tech High Tournament. All members should attend.
The Italian Honors Society will be selling pizza after school today in the commons. Come support the club by enjoying a delicious slice of pizza

The first ever MTHS Red Cross Club meeting will be held today at 2:40 PM in room F-327. All students looking for volunteer opportunities and ways to get involved in their community are welcome to join. Support your community and help out with world relief efforts by joining the MTHS Red Cross Club.  Please contact Dr. Pangalos or Sanjna Gavini for more information.

THE NEW JERSEY SCIENCE LEAGUE IS A COMPETITIVE SCIENCE ORGANIZATION THAT IS UNIQUE IN BOTH THE STATE AND OUR NATION. STARTED IN 1962, THE LEAGUE NOW OFFERS FOUR MAIN COMPETITIONS CONSISTING OF EXAMS IN BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY, PHYSICS, AND EARTH SCIENCE FOR ALL STUDENTS. IT IS THE OLDEST CLUB IN OUR SCHOOL. A SIGN-UP AND INFORMATION SESSION IS SCHEDULED today AT 2:10 PM IN ROOM F327. ALL ARE WELCOME. PLEASE SEE MR. TOLBOOM OR DR. PANGALOS FOR DETAILS.

Youth and Government is meeting on Monday, December 16th in room G-306. Please Bring your bill topic ideas. The club will complete and submit The hotel registration for the delegation. All delegates should attend as roommates will be selected at this meeting. See Ms. Granett with any questions.

FCCLA  will have a meeting on Tuesday, December 17 at 2:00 PM in room F-130. All membership dues must be paid at this time.

Peace Ambassadors will be meeting on Tuesday, December 17th at 2:10 in Room G-206.  All are welcome.

Ex-Animo will be having a meeting on Tuesday, December 17 at 2:10 in room F318. The club will discuss an upcoming holiday fundraiser and give out apparel orders. Please make all efforts to attend.

Wish someone a Happy Holiday by sending them a candy cane!  Order forms are being sold in both cafeterias during all lunches for only $1.00.  Candy canes will be delivered to recipients on December 19.

The next Gay Straight Alliance meeting will be held on Thursday, December 19th at 2:10 in Room G-206.  All are welcome.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes will have its annual Christmas Party on Thursday, December 19th at 2:15 in room F-306.  FCA state director Harry Flaherty will be in attendance.  Refreshments and desserts will be served.

National Honor Society is hosting 'Hump Day Chipotle'  at the East Brunswick Chipotle off of Route 18 on Wednesday, January 8th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Buy one entrée and get one free, so bring your friends! Proceeds will benefit “Special Strides”, a local Monroe charity.
