Monroe Network News, Monday, 11.10.14, 'A' day

Congratulations to Vivian Haas on winning last week’s Photography Club photo contest for the theme “OPEN DOOR”. The next photo contest theme is “SHAPES”. Photos must be emailed to Ms. Dale by 3:00 pm today. You can still register to be a member of the Photography Club! Forms are located outside Room G-227.

All DECA Krispy Kreme orders must be picked up at 2:00 PM today in Room G237.

Red Cross Club will hold its next meeting on Thursday November 13th from 2:05 to 2:45 PM in Room F-327. The club will discuss Details of the November 18th bake sale. All are welcome.

The next Photography Club meeting is on Thursday, November 13, after school in Room G-227.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Italian Honor Society will host a Volleyball Tournament on November 19th at 4:30 PM.  YOU CAN Sign up during lunches STARTING TODAY until the day of the tournament.  The cost is $5 per person, WITH 8-10 PEOPLE per team. THE Spectator fee IS $3.

Attention Field Hockey Players:  The second order of apparel is in.  Please pick it up from Coach Kelley in the women's P-E office at your earliest convenience.

DECA members who have not picked up hypnotist show information must see Mrs Stapenski by the end of the day on WEDNesday, November 12. All DECA members Must participate in this event to remain in good standing.

Ex-Animo is holding a meeting on Thursday, November 13 at 2:00 PM in room F-317. Topics will include Thanksgiving Dinner donation and clothing fundraiser. Also, club members who have not yet picked up a candy box if should do so immediately.

FBLA will hold their next meeting on Tuesday, November 18 at 2:10 in Cafeteria A.  they will collect Thanksgiving Donations and discuss Final Registration for Regional Testing. All members should attend. Please email ms. Dale with Any questions or see her in Room G-227.

Youth and Government is meeting on Tuesday, November 18th after school in room G-305. See Ms. Granett with any questions.

Spanish Honor Society fundraising order forms and funds are due by November 19th. Please submit cash or checks made out to MTHS SHS to Ms. Wolk in room G-214 or Ms. Quindes in room G-314.  Members who missed the November 5th meeting must see one of the advisors for order forms.

OUR VARSITY FOOTBALL TEAM WAS VANQUISHED BY THE KNIGHTS OF OLD BRIDGE IN A 21 TO 28 LOSS ON HALLOWEEN. THE GAME CAN NOW BE SEEN ON COMCAST CHANNEL 28. HERE’S A CLIP.

Multicultural Club will be hosting its First Multicultural Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 20, at 4:30 PM in Cafeteria A. THE CLUB will servE food and beverages from different cultures. YOU CAN PAY YOUR EVENT Admission BY donatiNG to the food bank, DONATING $3 or BRINGING a dish of food.  ALL food donatIONS ARE GOING to the Middlesex County Food Bank.

Attention Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors: Are you undecided about your future career goals?  If so, you may want to consider taking the ASVAB test, the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery.  ASVAB is a comprehensive career exploration and planning program run by the military, however, there is no military obligation. The test will be held on Wednesday, November 19th at 8 a.m. in the Media Center. Sign up in the College and Career Counseling Office by November 14th. For more information, please see Mrs. Stasi in the Senior Option office located inside the media center.
