Monroe Network News, Friday, 03.27.15, 'B' day


Wanna see who will be crowned the next Mr. Monroe? Come out TONIGHT AT 7:00 pm in the PAC to see who will win. Tickets are only being sold at the door for $7.

Youth and Government is meeting on Monday, march 30th after school in room G343. All delegates must attend. If you cannot attend you must contact Ms. Granett.

Congratulations to vivian haas, winner of this week’s Photography club photo contest for the theme “polka dots”. The next photo CONTEST theme is “text & letters”. Photos must be emailed to Ms. Dale by 3:00 pm on Monday, march 30th. the next photography club meeting will be on tuesday, april 14th.

Juniors who submitted an application for Senior Options next year should see Mrs. Stasi in the cafeteria during their lunch next week.  Students who chose the Work Study option should see her on Monday.  Community Service students should see her on Tuesday.  Finally, students who chose the Internship option should see ms. Stasi on Wednesday and Thursday

Junior Prom bids are now on sale during all lunches.  You can also buy bids from Ms. Lyons or Ms. Riggi after school in workroom G-323. ALL STUDENT INFORMATION FORMS along with payment MUST BE submitted IN A SEALED ENVELOPE WITH YOUR NAME ON IT WHEN YOU PURCHASE YOUR PROM BID.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be showing the movie “Son of God” on Thursday, April 2nd after school in room F306.  All are welcome.

Peace Ambassadors are meeting on Tuesday, April 14th at 2:10 in room G205.  all members need to to attend to plan the next activity. Please make every effort to be there.

The deadline for ordering a yearbook is April 30th. The cost is $105 per book. 90% of the available books have been sold already. Don’t be left out!

JOIN THE FALCON LIFE AND FALCON PALS STUDENTS in recognizing World Down Syndrome day on march 31st.  is a global awareness day to recognize people with Down syndrome, and the people who live and work with them. students will be selling mismatched socks for $3.00 a pair during lunches through March 31st. Why crazy socks you may ask? so people ask you about them and you can tell them about Down Syndrome awareness! In addition, Random Acts of Kindness Butterflies will also be sold for $1.00 , which will be displayed in the commons. write down what you have done or plan to do to help make someone else’s life a little better.

Do you want to improve you leadership and communication skills, learn about responsibility and meet new people? Then You should attend “FLY”, or “Falcon Leadership Youth” Camp on August 6th and August 7th this summer. Busing and Lunch will be provided. You can print permission slips from the mths website or pick one up from Ms. Basile in the Media Center, or Mr. Lee and Mr. Field in the Phys-Ed. Department. permission slips need to be returned to any of the above people by  June 20th.
