Monroe Network News, Friday, 04.15.16, 'B' day


today’s lunch entrée is cheese quesadilla.

today is the last day to submit Senior Event paperwork.  This includes forms for prom, picnic, and brunch, as well as all payments due. Class advisors Ms. Lyons and Ms. Riggi will be in the commons during all lunches to collect forms and money.  Prom Table forms are due by May 6th.

Congratulations to david lawrence, winner of the Photography club’s photo contest for the theme “neon”. the next contest theme is “night time & night lights”. please email your pictures to ms. dale by 3:00 PM on monday, april 18th. ms. dale will confirm receipt of your email, so if you don’t get a reply, she did not get it!

JSA will have a meeting on Tuesday, April 19th at 2:10 in room G-347.  Please bring your chapter dues to the meeting.  See Mrs. Ferrantelli with any questions.

next week is “Respect Week”. JOIN “project fun” and the falcon PALS as they host various events centered on RESPECT, KINDNESS, AWARENESS AND UNITY.  It starts on Monday, april 18th with “RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS” DAY” : STUDENTS ARE ASKED TO REFLECT ON HOW DOING NICE THINGS FOR OTHERS POSITIVELY IMPACTS LIVES.

Tuesday, april 19th is Staff Autism Awareness Day. Teachers and other staff can make a $3.00 contribution to wear a blue shirt and jeans that day. donations will benefit the “parents of Autistic Children” organization. Contributions should be submitted to Mrs. Friedman in room G-105 or to the main office

The National College Fair will be held at the Meadowlands Exposition Center on Wednesday, April 20th and Thursday, April 21st. Please visit nj.com/sl/collegefair for details.

This year’s One Book Read will take place on April 21st at 7:00 PM in the Media Center. Come spend the evening sharing your thoughts on this year’s pick “Eleanor & Park” through discussions and fun activities. Refreshments will be served. Please see Mr Hinz in the media center with any questions.

Students interested in running for class council must pick up paperwork from Ms. Drust in the 3rd floor teacher workroom.   Paperwork is due back by May 4th. late papers will not be accepted.

Do you want to improve you leadership and communication skills, learn about responsibility, and meet new people? Then you should attend “FLY”, or “Falcon Leadership Youth” Camp, this summer on Thursday, August 4th and Friday, August 5th. Busing and Lunch will be provided. Print the permission slips on the MTHS website, or get one from Ms. Basile in the Media Center and Mr. Lee and Mr. Field in the Phys-Ed Department. Permission slips need to be returned by June 20th.
