the Literary Club Magazine is meeting today right after school in room G-346. If you’re a short-story writer, poet, photographer, artist, or have webpage management skills, then come utilize your talents with the school's online literary magazine. Check it out at monroepoetsociety.com

the Falcon Zone School Store is now open. Stop by to check out the merchandise. Store Hours are blocks 1 and 4 on “a” days, and blocks 2, 3 and 4 on “B” days. Freshman orders are being completed so stop by to check the status of your order.

National Art Honor Society will be meeting TODAY from 2:10 to 2:45 in the Art room.

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY FOR Senior Superlative ONLINE VOTING - refer to the handouts YOU’VE RECEIVED for necessary info. it is ALSO time to upload your Friends Forever and Remember When pictures for the yearbook. Use the website and password on the flyer to make sure that you and your friends are represented in this year’s book.

The next DECA meeting is TODAY at 2:10 pm in cafeTERIA “a”. Registration forms for the 76ers and regional conferences will be handed out AT THE MEETING. is not too late to join.  All DECA dues must be paid as soon as possible- the deadline is oct 15. See mrs Stapenski in ROOM g-237 WITH any questions.

Ex-Animo will have a meeting TODAY at 2:10 PM. The club will discuss the upcoming back sale. If you are participating in the Matt Collura 5K please remember to bring your five dollar donation.

Attention Seniors: senior portrait retakes are being shot today in the Media Center. This is your last chance to take a picture here at MTHS. All senior portrait choices for the yearbook MUST be made by October 15th, no exceptions. If you do not pick a pose by this date, one will be chosen for you and you will not be able to change it.

Youth and Government is meeting on Tuesday, October 8th at 2:10pm in room G-306. The club is selecting officers and discussing this year's conference. See Ms. Granett with any questions.

the academic team is meeting on Tuesday, October 8th at 2:10 in Room G-247. The team will practice for upcoming competitions. New members may still join.

Whether you are a fan of classic poetry or a modern hip-hop fan, come meet fellow lyricists at the Poetry Club. Showcase your talents during "the open mic" session and hone your skills during the writing session. Learn how to "freestyle rap" during the closing freestyle circle. Come to the meeting after school on Wednesday, October 9th in room G-346.

What are your true colors when it comes to bullying? If you care about students who are bullied and want bullying to end, make your color ORANGE on Unity Day, Wednesday, October 9.

Come challenge your skills in a game of chess.  Chess Club will hold its next meeting on Thursday, October 10th, from 2:20 to 4:20 PM in room F-327. Even if you do not know the rules of chess – they will teach you!

The Mock Trial Team will have an informational meeting on Thursday, October 10th at 2:00 PM in room F-206. Please see Mr. Calella if you have any questions.

Fellowship of Christian of Athletes will have a meeting on Thursday, October 10th at 2:15 in room F-306.  All are welcome, so bring a friend!

Students interested in attending Arts High this year must attend a brief meeting on Thursday, October 10th in the Ceramics Room.

The next Gay Straight Alliance meeting will be on Thursday, October 10 at 2:10 in room G-206.

the next FBLA meeting will be on Tuesday October 15, immediately after school in Room G-227! This is the last day to join FBLA, so Membership dues and registration forms are due at the meeting. See Ms. Dale in Room G-227 with any questions.

Want to shred some gnar with the Roon-dog, Jessop and Tolboom?  Do you want to beat Mrs. Puleio or Mrs. Mackenzie down the mountain? Then come to the ski club meeting on Thursday, October 24, from 2:10 until 2:45 in room F-315.  All new and returning members must attend.

students interested in trying out for Winter Sports must see the nurse by October 25th to get paperwork and make an appointment. Physicals will be given on October 31st.  Even athletes who already had a physical must get an update.

The boys Varsity Soccer team improved its record to 6 and 3 by beating Piscataway 8-0 last Thursday. Scorers were Brandon Cherney, Juston Thompson, Mike Mischler Aaron Fawzy, Aleko Vastardis and John Cosenza, with assists from Alex Infosino, Corey Klaskin, Alex Fernandez, and Andres Carvajal. The Falcons have their next game today at 4:00 at St. Joseph’s High School. Come out and support the boys.
