THE NEWSPAPER CLUB IS SELLING TRICK-OR-TREAT BAGS IN ALL LUNCHES THROUGH TODAY. SEND A CANDY GRAM TO A FRIEND OR YOURSELF! The club is ALSO AUCTIONING OFF TWO ED SHEERHAN AND TWO PARAMORE TICKETS. WINNERS WILL BE DRAWN ON FRIDAY, November 1. SEE MS. SPEIZER OR A JOURNALISM STUDENTS FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN. HALF OF ALL PROCEEDS will GO TO ALL CRITTERS RESCUE.

student council is meeting TODAY, after school in room f-216. the council will plan upcoming events. all members should attend.

ATTENTION WRESTLERS – the 30-day meeting will be TODAY at 2:10 in the wrestling room.  All wrestlers must attend. The team will complete the Height Measurements for certification and distribute fund raising materials.  Please see Coach Morolda if you have any questions.

FCCLA is having a Halloween Bake Sale on Thursday, October 31 After school outside of room F-130. All proceeds will go to the national outreach program “Share Our Strength”.

Come play a game of chess and challenge your skills.  The MTHS Chess Club will hold its next meeting on Thursday, from 2:20 to 4:20 PM in room F327. Even if you do not know the rules of chess – they will teach you.

Congratulations to Priya Patel, first Place Winner in this week’s photography contest. The theme was Week “SOMETHING SPOOKY”! the next photography club contest theme is:  “JEWELRY”. All photos must be emailed to Ms. Dale by 2:00 pm on Monday, November 4.

All freshman apparel orders are now complete. Please pick them up at your earlies convenience at the Falcon Zone School Store.

All Freshman Volleyball players should turn in their uniforms and Dig Pink money to Coach Bulkley in the Graphic Design room G-156 as soon as possible.

FBLA is meeting on Monday, November 4, after school in Room G-227 after school. It will be a brief meeting to discuss McPrincipal night, the Pretzel fundraiser, and january’s Regional testing. All members should try to attend.  See Ms. Dale if you have any questions.

girls interested in playing basketball must attend a mandatory meeting after school on Tuesday, November 5th in Room G-231.

DECA regional conference fees and registration forms must be turned in by Wednesday, November 6. They will not be accepted after that date.

There are less than 30 spots left for the ski club.  Bring your payment and paperwork to Mr. O in room F-315 to ensure your place in the club.

Students interested in applying to the Middlesex Arts High program must submit their applications by Friday, November 15th. please see Ms. Bulkley in the Graphic Design room G156 with any questions.

The girls varsity tennis team concluded its season last Monday with a 4-1 win against South Plainfield.   The team finished second in the white division with an impressive 16 and 3 record.  Special Kudos go out to seniors AShley Fleming, Katie Dutton and Manika SAxena.  Coach Marmorek extends A big “thank You” and congratulations to all the players for their hard work and dedication in making this a most successful year.

NHS TUTORING is now being OFFERED from 2:10 to 3:10 EVERY MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY in the media center. There are tutors available for any subject, and they will stay even beyond 3:10 if you need extra help.

Are you undecided about your future career goals?  If so, you should consider taking the “ASVAB” test, the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery.  ASVAB is a comprehensive career exploration and planning program run by the military, however, there is no military obligation. The test will be held on Wednesday, November 20th at 8 a.m. in the Media Center. The sign-up sheet is located in the College and Career Counseling Office. The deadline for signing up is November 15th. For more information, please see Mrs. Stasi in the Senior Option office located inside the media center.

AND FINALLY, THE MONROE VARSITY FOOTBALL TEAM SUFFERED ITS SECOND DEFEAT OF THE SEASON AT THE HANDS OF THE PISCATAWAY CHIEFS LAST FIRDAY. THE GAME IS NOW PLAYING ON COMCAST CHANNEL 28. HERE’S A CLIP.
