Spanish Honor Society will hold its next General meeting for ALL
members and new inductees on Monday, May 9th in the Lecture hall. you
will make nominations for next year’s club officers, so come prepared with your
choices. An additional meeting for NEW inductees ONLY is scheduled for
Thursday, May 12th in the PAC. NEW inductees MUST attend both meetings
before Induction Night on May 18.

FBLA Executive Board and Committee Applications are DUE to MS. Dale
in room g-227 by 2:00 pm on THURSDAY, May 12. Elections will be held on
Thursday, May 19, after school in the Left Side Lecture Hall. All FBLA members
should attend this important meeting!

The next photo club meeting will be on tuesday, may 17th
right after school in the right side lecture hall. the club will discuss and
prepare for the haunted high school event.

Sign Up now for the Armed Forces Appreciation Day Volleyball
Tournament on Thursday, May 19th right after school. Six to eight players per
team CAN PARTICIPATE, AND THE COST IS five dollars PER player. EVENT PROCEEDS
WILL support “Operation Homefront”. Please see Mrs. Cadott for a sign up sheet.
Forms and money are due by May 13th.

Monroe Township High School will host its first
“Relay for Life” On June 10th to raise money for The American Cancer
Society. The event will begin at 5:00 pm
on June 10th and end at 6:00 am the next morning. The organizers are looking
for Teams, Participants, Cancer Survivors, Caregivers, Event Sponsors
an Volunteers. For more information please contact Mrs. Quindes or Mr. Comey.

the deadline to order Yearbooks has been extended. they can be
ordered online at jostens.com until May 20th at a cost of $110. After May
20, you will go on a waiting list for leftover books at a cost of $120.
The waiting list is first come, first served- no exceptions. If you ordered
your yearbook, or are not sure if you did, you should check the list outside
room C-149 near the commons for your name.

the Academic Team will have its end of the year party
on Tuesday, May 24th at 2:10 in Room G247. The team will order
Pizza, and everyone is encouraged to bring in another small snack to share. You
must R-s-v-p to Ms. Abrruzzese by Monday, May 23rd.

Do you want to improve you leadership and communication skills,
learn about responsibility, and meet new people? Then you should attend “FLY”,
or “Falcon Leadership Youth” Camp, this summer on Thursday, August 4th and
Friday, August 5th. Busing and Lunch will be provided. Print the permission
slips on the MTHS website, or get one from Ms. Basile in the Media Center and
Mr. Lee and Mr. Field in the Phys-Ed Department. Permission slips need to
be returned by
June 20th.

and finally, Congratulations to Graham
Kozak for being selected to the 2016 All State Jazz Band. This is the second
consecutive year graham has been selected for this ensemble.
