the MTHS Red Cross Club is meeting today at 2:05 PM in room F-327. All students looking for volunteer opportunities and ways to get involved in their community are welcome to join. Please come out and support the Varsity Girls Basketball Team tonight at home as they take on Bishop Ahr. game time is 7:00.

There will be a meeting of the Young Science Achiever's Club today at 2 PM in room F218.  Please bring you candy money.  An Experimental activity is planned.

THE PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB is MEETING today AT 2:10 IN ROOM G-227.

the Chess Club will hold its next meeting today from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in room F-327. Even if you don’t know the rules of chess, they will teach you! All are welcome.

The History Club is meeting today after school in room G306.

The next Peace Ambassadors meeting will be today at 2:10 in room G-205.  All are welcome.

FCCLA will have a meeting on Thursday, January 16 at 2:00 pm in room F-130.

the next mathletes competition will be on Wednesday, January 15th, at home. Please report to room F-236 at 3:00 PM. New members are welcome!

auditions for Show Choir are taking place this Thursday, January 16 at 2:00 PM in the Chorus Room.  All interested students should sign up outside the chorus room. More information and music is available outside the chorus room as well.

Congratulations to all DECA members who were finalists at the regional conference and are now advancing to the state competition. all members going to the state conference must attend a meeting on Thursday, January 16 at 2:00 PM In Cafeteria “B”. If you are a finalist and did not pick up the state conference packet you must see Mrs Stapenski immediately.

The MTHS Table Tennis Federation will resume play this Thursday, January 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM in the commons. Please note that all participants must sign in each week.

student council is having a meeting on Thursday, January 16 after school in F-216.

If you are staying after school on the January 17 half day and need lunch- The Booster Club will hook you up! Order a hero, drink and chips for just $8. Order forms are available in the Athletic Office and on the MTHS website on the Booster Club page.

attention Academic Team: the next meeting will be on Tuesday, January 21st at 2:10 in Room G-247. The club will select teams for the upcoming BRITE tournament and also practice. All members must attend.

The Drama Club will be presenting its Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre on January 23rd and 24th in Cafeteria B.  A pasta dinner will be served at 6:00 and the show will start at 7:00.  Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased from any cast member or Mr. Byrnes.  Come on out for dinner, laughs, and murder.

NHS TUTORING is now being OFFERED from 2:10 to 3:10 EVERY MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY in the media center. There are tutors available for any subject, and they will stay even beyond 3:10 if you need extra help.

THE MONROE WRESTLING TEAM DEFEATED JP STEVENS HIGH SCHOOL last Friday BY A SCORE OF 76 to 3, IMPROVING THEIR RECORD TO 7 and 0.  PINS WERE RECORDED BY GEORGIE EXARCHAKIS, SAL PROFACI, BRANDON HYMAN, ANTHONY AVERSANO, AND PATRICK DRESSEL.  SHAWN GARDINI WON BY MAJOR DECISION.  THE NEXT HOME WRESTLING MATCH IS ON Friday, January 17 at 7:00 PM AGAINST DIVISION RIVAL WOODBRIDGE.  PLEASE COME-OUT TO SUPPORT THE TEAM!
