FBLA and The March of Dimes come together again for their 3rd Annual “Karaoke for a Cause” TODAY FROM 5:30 pm to 8:30pm in the Commons! Ticket donations are $5.00 in advance and can be purchased from any FBLA member.  Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $7.00.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Dale in Room G-227.

The Falcon L.I.F.E. Program’S “DEACON’S FOOD CUPDBOARD” AND “SOCK IT TO ME” CLOTHING DRIVES END TODAY. PLEASE drop off canNED FOOD AS WELL AS winter mittens or gloves, hats, scarves and socks in room C-109 by THE END OF THE DAY.

Come out and support the girls basketball team this Thursday, January 30, on its is Senior Night. tip off is at 7:00 pm. Wear your Birdcage T-shirt and get into the game free of charge. Join the student section for a “blackout” to support your Lady Falcons! T-shirts cost $10 and are available in the school store and will also be sold in the lobby before the game. All proceeds support your student athletes.

Literary Magazine is meeting on Thursday, January 30th after school in room G-346. Come prepared with submissions!

Come out and support your Falcons Boys Basketball team ON THEIR COUNTY AND STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT RUN! THE FALCONS WILL TAKE ON GMC rivals Old Bridge on Friday, January 31st at 7:00 pm. Get to the gym early and GET LOUD during the pre-game festivities and ALL GAME LONG! they NEED their 6TH MAN!

There will a Winter Dance on Friday, January 31st from 7:00 to 10:00 PM in the Commons. Tickets will be sold at the door for $7 and include admission to the boys basketball game. Snacks and drinks will also be for sale.

this week is national drug facts week. Recent research states that marijuana use that begins during adolescence can lower IQ and impair other measures of mental function into adulthood.

This week 10% of all proceeds from school store purchases will be donated to the “Wounded Warrior” Project.  Please help our heroes by purchasing something from the school store by Friday.

DECA State Conference forms and payment are due by 2:00 PM on Monday, February 3. Please bring to Mrs Stapenski in Room G-237. late registrations will not be accepted.

Girls interested in Spring Track must attend a mandatory pre-season meeting on Thursday, February 6th at 2:10 in room F-338. please see Coach Jessop with any questions.

Boys interested in spring track must come to a brief meeting on Thursday, February 6th after school in room F-325. If you cannot attend or have questions you must see Coach Rickert prior to the meeting.

This year's ONE BOOK READ title is "Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher. In his book, Asher uses dual narratives to weave an intricate and heartrending story of confusion and desperation that affects the novel’s two protagonists. Join your peers on February 20th at 7:00 PM in the Media Center to discuss this book. For more information go to the Media Center’s webpage and open the One Book Read link. Copies are now available for purchase in the Media Center.

Bank of America’s Student Leaders Programs is offering two great summer opportunities to juniors and seniors: An eight week paid summer internship, and A week long, all-expense paid summit in Washington, DC .
