ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION CLUB is INVITing ALL STUDENTS TO ATTEND THE MONROE TOWNSHIP GREEN FAIR AT OAK TREE SCHOOL ON Saturday, October 11TH FROM 10:00 AM TO 3:00 PM. FOR VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES PLEASE SEE MR. TOLBOOM OR ANY MEMBER OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION CLUB.

Senior Superlative voting sheets are being distributed in your Language arts classes. Make sure to cast your vote online by October 12th!

There will be an interest meeting for the American Legion Oratorical Competition with Mr. Thumm in room g347 after school on Tuesday, October 14 OR Thursday, October 16 in room g-347. Come by if you like speeches, the Constitution, and scholarships.

FBLA will hold a meeting on Tuesday, October 14th after school in Cafeteria “A” for Regionals Event Registration. They will also meet on Wednesday, October 15 after school In Cafeteria “A” for Regionals event registration and to decorate for the “Haunted High School” event. Please email Ms. Dale or see her in Room G227 with any questions.

If you are interested and gifted in writing, music, dance, theatre, visual arts, photography or film making, you could take part in monroe’s award winning Arts High Program. Students chosen for the program will take college level courses in their field. Tuition and transportation are free. Interested students must attend a meeting after school on Wednesday, October 15 in room G-156 to receive passes and information. This will be followed by an assembly the following Wednesday form 12:30 to 1:30 in the Auditorium.  Students interested in auditioning should see Ms. Bulkley in room G-156 for a pass.

STUDENTS interested in Winter Track MUST ATTEND A MEETING on Wednesday, October 15th at 2:10.  Girls should report to room F-338 and see Coach Jessop with any questions.  Boys should report to F-325 and see Coach Rickert with any questions.

The Young Science Achiever Club Meeting has been rescheduled to next Wednesday, October 15 at 2:00 Pm in Room F-218 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.  The meeting will include a seasonal experimental activity that will involve an exploding pumpkin. You don’t want to miss this!

the computer club meeting is on Thursday, October 16th at 2:15 pm.

Ex-Animo will hold its next meeting on Thursday. October 16, at 2:00 PM sharp in room f-317. The club will discuss the candy sale, clothing, and the haunted house.

There will be a Ski Club meeting on Thursday, October 16 at 2:10 in room F-315.  All new and returning members must attend the meeting.  Please see Mr. OLSZEWSKI with any questions.

The cheerleaders will be collecting non-perishable food items for “FOODSTOCK” at the homecoming game on Friday, October 17. Bring a donation and get a FOODSTOCK band!

Sit back and enjoy lunch in The Media Center on Halloween, as it hosts its first Brown Bag Lunch of the year on Friday, October 31. The genre for this event is Student’s Choice, and may include the discussion of movies, world issues,  and books. To participate students need to sign-up in the media center and bring their lunches with them on October 31st. please direct all questions to the Media Center’s staff.

Attention Fly Camp Leaders: If you are interested in manning the FLY Camp Club rush Table please see Ms. Basile in the Senior Options Office or send her an email at Christina.Basile@Monroe.k12.nj.us.  Club rush will take place during Block 3 on Friday,  October 17th.  Posters and Sign up sheets will be needed for the table.

N-J-I-T is holding an Engineering Career Day on Friday, December 5 from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM.  Space is limited- please see Mrs. Stasi in the Media Center to sign up.  This program would be of special interests to juniors.
