Monroe Network News, Thursday, 10.30.14, 'B' day

Italian Honors Society will be meeting after school TODAY in room G-336 to make posters for the Volleyball Tournament.  ALL Members SHOULD ATTEND.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes will have a meeting TODAY AFTER SCHOOL in room F-306. The club will plan the Volleyball Tournament. All are welcome- refreshments and snacks will be served.

Literary Magazine is meeting after school TODAY in room G-205.

If you signed up for a senior portrait retake or have not had your senior portrait taken yet, please view TODAY’S schedule posted outside of the yearbook room, C-149. This is the LAST chance you will have to take or retake your senior portrait!

There will be a freshman class meeting TODAY after school in room G-343. The class will discuss the first fundraising events and sharing ideas for promoting them. All students interested in helping out should attend. Please see Ms. Neues or Mr. Comey with any questions.

Chess Club will meet TODAY from 2:20 to 4:20 PM in Room F-327.  All are welcome.  Bring a friend and enjoy this ancient "Immortal" game of Kings.

DECA memberA who did not pick up a regional conference registration OR fundraising form must see Mrs. Stapenski at the end of block 4 outside Room G-237.  The last day to register for the conference field trip is Tuesday, November 4. Members who do not go to regionals will not be allowed to go to the state conference.  Also, all 76er field trip permission forms are due by 2:00 PM on Friday, October 31.

Anyone interested in playing golf in the spring should see Mr. Kelleher in room f-237 sometime this week.

There are less than 10 spots left in the ski club.  submit your paperwork and payment to mr. o as soon as possible to secure a spot.

Sit back and enjoy lunch in The Media Center on Halloween, as it hosts its first Brown Bag Lunch of the year on Friday, October 31. The genre for this event is Student’s Choice, and may include the discussion of movies, world issues, and books. To participate students need to sign-up in the media center and bring their lunches with them on October 31st. please direct all questions to the Media Center’s staff.

Congratulations to Vivian Haas on winning this week’s Photography Club photo contest for the theme “SUNSETS”. Next weeks’ photography Club theme is “Open Door”.
Photos need to be emailed to Ms. Dale by 3:00 pm on Monday, November 3.
You can still register to be a member of the Photography Club! Forms are located outside Room G-227.

this week is red ribbOn week. Traffic crashes are a major cause of death for children and teenagers.  Nearly a quarter of these deaths are alcohol or drug related.  It is estimated that one out of every 280 born today will die in a crash with an impaired driver.  Help get the message out so that you and your LOVED ONES WON’T BECOME ANOTHER STATISTIC.
