Monroe Network News, Wed 10.08.14, 'A' day

The MTHS Red Cross Club will hold its FIRST MEETING OF THE YEAR on Thursday, October 9th, from 2:05 PM to 2:45 PM in Room F-327. All are welcome.

The next DECA meeting is Thursday, October 9 after school in Cafeteria “A”.  This meeting is your last chance to join DECA this year and to register for the 76ers field trip. The club will discuss Club Rush how to sign up for fundraisers. All members should please bring their club dues.

THE table Tennis Club IS MEETING on Thursday, October 9th AFTER SCHOOL in the Commons.  All are welcome to play ping pong.  All players must sign IN ON the roster sheet to play.  This club is scheduled to meet weekly until early June.

THE 60-DAY WRESTLING MEETING HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR THIS Thursday, OCTOBER 9 AT 2:20 IN ROOM G-234.  ALL NEW AND RETURNING WRESTLERS MUST ATTEND. THE TEAM WILL DISCUSS CERTIFICATION TARGETS AND WEIGHTS.

There will be a freshman class meeting on Thursday, October 9 at 2:10 in room G-343. The class will discuss spirit week, hallway decorating, and Halloween festivities. Anyone interested in learning more about these events should come to the meeting or see Ms. Neues or Mr. Comey for more information.

Italian honors society will be having a bake sale on Thursday, October 9 in the commons. Come try one of their famous cannoli!

Student Council will be holding a meeting on Thursday, October 9 at 2:05 in room F-216. Please make every effort to attend.

THE Art Club IS Meeting on Thursday, October 9th AT 2:10 in Room H-103.

ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION CLUB is INVITing ALL STUDENTS TO ATTEND THE MONROE TOWNSHIP GREEN FAIR AT OAK TREE SCHOOL ON Saturday, October 11TH FROM 10:00 AM TO 3:00 PM. FOR VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES PLEASE SEE MR. TOLBOOM OR ANY MEMBER OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION CLUB.

Senior Superlative voting sheets are being distributed in your Language arts classes. Make sure to cast your vote online by October 12th!

FBLA will hold a meeting on Tuesday, October 14th after school in Cafeteria “A”  for Regionals Event Registration. They will also meet on Wednesday, October 15 after school In Cafeteria “A” for Regionals event registration and to decorate for the “Haunted High School” event. STUDENTS interested in Winter Track MUST ATTEND A MEETING on Wednesday, October 15th at 2:10.  Girls should report to room F-338 and see Coach Jessop with any questions.  Boys should report to F-325 and see Coach Rickert with any questions.

Attention Fly Camp Leaders: If you are interested in manning the FLY Camp Club rush Table please see Ms. Basile in the Senior Options Office or send her an email at Christina.Basile@Monroe.k12.nj.us.  Club rush will take place during Block 3 on Friday,  October 17th.  Posters and Sign up sheets will be needed for the table.

N-J-I-T is holding an Engineering Career Day on Friday, December 5 from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM.  Space is limited- please see Mrs. Stasi in the Media Center to sign up.  This program would be of special interests to juniors.
